First Reform S.E.L.F™ is an organization established with the specific aim of guiding, encouraging, and mentoring our youth, women, and men towards emotional intelligence, personal growth, financial stability, and purpose. Our core objective is to provide personal and professional development opportunities for individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. Through self-driven courses and workshops, First Reform S.E.L.F™ seeks to support and guide not just the individuals affected by the criminal justice system but also their families. Our central focus is to reinforce that true change starts within.
The reform process initiates when we nurture and develop four distinct aspects of our personal growth:
Spiritual Intelligence, Emotional Literacy, Leadership Qualities, Financial Stability.
Spiritual Intelligence refers to understanding our purpose in this world in relation to our creator and others.
Emotional literacy how we perceive and comprehend our self-worth, which ultimately influences how much we invest in ourselves.
Leadership Qualities recognizes that we all possess inherent leadership qualities, and it is a matter of when we will tap into them to fulfill our purpose.
Financial Stability involves comprehending the value of currency and utilizing it to establish stability for ourselves and our community.
Our goal is to change the perception of people who have interacted with the criminal justice system. Our approach revolves around two forms: individual and societal. We want to inspire our mentees that they can change their ways, and it starts with them. In contrast, for the second form, we aim to promote and illustrate that rehabilitation is achievable and every person deserves another chance.
To fill lives with purpose,
Move hearts with emotional literacy,
Develop character with integrity, &
Enrich minds with financial education.
